Eric Heller and the Klyp Styx System

On Nov. 12, Eric Heller, adjunct professor in Math, Engineering & Science, will lead a workshop at the Design Science Symposium sponsored by the Synergetics Collaborative.  This will be held at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI.

Eric has invented and patented a system for clipping sticks together forming multiple flexible joints.  The system is called the Klyp Styx System.  At the workshop he will be instructing the use of Klyp Styx and will then lead the group in the construction of an original and unique 1,500 stick space frame — a model of a dodecahedron built of intersecting icosahedra.
